The Singleton Showground is managed by the Northern Agricultural Association, which was founded in 1868. Each year the NAA hosts the Singleton Show in September, including the Singleton Showgirl Competition and the Wife Carrying Competition. On the fourth Saturday of each month the Singleton Farmers Markets are held at the Showground from 8am to 1pm. The grounds, pavillion and bistro areas are available for hire to the general public; for functions such as weddings, balls, birthday parties, and horse sports. Singleton Show 2012 will be held from Friday 21st September to Sunday 23rd September.
